From Emerald QLD, drive west (towards Longreach) about 40 minutes and you get to the crossroads, the intersection of Capricorn Highway and Anakie-Sapphire Road.
Turn left for Anakie Siding (2 minutes)
Turn right for Sapphire Central (10 minutes) and Rubyvale (another 7 minutes)
Go straight for Willows (30 minutes)

The stores are listed in order, as you leave the Capricorn Highway and Sapphire-Anakie Road intersection, known locally as the Crossroads.

The roads are fully sealed along the Rubyvale-Capella Road to Capella (45 minutes) and Rubyvale-
Clermont Road to Clermont (65 minutes).
Take care on these roads as parts are winding, and there are blind spots, as well as free-roaming cattle, kangaroos, wallabies, bettongs (kangaroo-rats), owls and brolgas.
