The Blue Gem offers a range of facilities to the sapphire seekers at The Gemfields.

Accommodation ranges from ensuite and economy cabins to more than 40 powered sites positioned in tree lined, lawned gardens with several drive throughs to accept the larger vans and homes.

Our convenience store boasts a range of fresh food and quality takeaway food delights.

We also offer unleaded, premium and diesel fuels from our service station. One of only two service stations on the Sapphire Gemfields.

You can buy bags and buckets of wash. Take them with or use the fossicking tables and be guided through the process of fossicking and identifying sapphire and zircon. Found some gemstones? They can be weighed and you can have a value estimate before you leave.

The Gemfields sub-branch has a Veteran’s Retreat, which is open to service, ex-service and first responders, who want a friendly place to stay.
